ABOUT US
Recovery Spa was created in 2008 by a woman named Katia Mauti who saw her beloved mother struggling with a mental health disorder all her life. Katia started to noticed that her mother never did anything to take care or pamper herself such as going to a spa and getting her feet and hands looked after. Katia then decided to take her mom to a spa and pamper her with a manicure and pedicure. This simple gesture made her mother feel good about herself for the first time in a while because she got a chance to leave the house and talk to people and make friends. Katia then decided to create a small business to help people with mental health issues get out of the house and take proper care of themselves because she saw how much it helped her mom feel good about herself. The business started in her home as a one person business. The clients became too overwhelming and Katia was getting too busy that she had to open a salon and hire more estheticians and dedicated therapists. The business sky rocketed and is becoming more and more successful. They have a great reputation and offer professional services. Our mission is to help those with mental health disorders take care of themselves in an open and safe environment. Our spa’s vision is we want to make all clients feel happy and confident after attending Recovery Spa. Our core values of our business is that we want to better the lives of others as much as possible. Recovery Spa employees are dedicated to the business and are caring, welcoming and love helping those in need.

Katia Mauti
Founder and Medical Esthetician
Katia Mauti founded Recovery Spa 10 years ago and is the essence of all that the spa has to offer its clients. The spa started off by Katia working alone in a small shop in her home. When the spa started to become too busy for one esthetician, she opened up a salon and hired more estheticians and therapists. Katia founded Recovery Spa by herself over 10 years ago for her mother Wilma who was suffering with mental disabilities. Katia learned a lot from her mother’s mental health journey and wanted to put that knowledge to good use by helping others who are suffering. Katia is also a dedicated medical esthetician and studied at Georgian college for 3 years. Her contribution to the spa is that she is a talented medical esthetician and great person to talk to. Together with her team, Katia welcomes clients to relax at Recovery Spa.
